Maritime Security Incidents for the first half of 2014
The author of this table, Andy Robinson, is a professional analyst who has extensive experience in collecting, collating and disseminating information from various sources over a number of years.
He took an interest in the issue of maritime incidents when involved in instruction of maritime security personnel in accordance with IMO ISPS regulations and endeavored to identify the threat to all mariners.
These figures have been produced from a number of sources including the International Maritime Bureau (IMB), International Maritime Org. (IMO), Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP), US Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), OCEANUSLive, Maritime Bulletin, Vessel Tracker and Noonsite. Additionally a number of other web sites, including maritime journals, news organizations, and a general trawl through maritime sites for incidents of interest.
