Report Content

The French catamaran MARINE, with crew Jean-Louis and Cathy on board, was boarded in the middle of the night (Wed. 24 November 2010) by 6 men armed with guns and machetes.

They have anchored alone and it was their first night anchored in Puerto Escondido, on the mainland of Honduras.

The previous Sunday they had left the Rio Dulce area and were on their way to the islands of Honduras when they anchored overnight at Puerto Escondido (15-54-26N / 87-38-00W).

The attackers stole the dinghy and motor, computers, camera, telephone, money etc. however the couple, fortunately, were not harmed.
