Heavy Wash at Royal Langkawi Yacht Club

Despite good facilities, helpful staff and a location conveniently adjacent to the Kuah Town centre, the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club still suffers serious wash problems from passing ferries.

Snapped mooring lines and burst fenders are not uncommon.

Correspondence with the RLYC and the Harbourmaster have done nothing to ease the problem. Vessels using this facility, especially for unattended storage, need to ensure they are well tethered.
