Report Content

As reported by CSSN.

Around 4 PM on 20 September 2015, a female cruiser based in Mt. Hartman bay was walking in the nearby Dove Sanctuary.

She was surprised by a man who followed her for a short time before grabbing her, threatening her with a knife, asking to see the contents of her bag, and then attempting to drag her into the bushes and remove her clothing.

Fortunately, another man came down the trail and interrupted the attempted sexual assault.

The victim, fortunately, escaped with minor injuries but was badly shaken up. Her bag, containing a bathing suit, some cash, a sports watch and sarong were stolen.

Police were notified and are investigating.
