We are actually anchored in front of Marina Taina in Papeete.

Last night around 1030 p.m.our neighbour anchored nearby heard a noise of water splashing. He turned on his bright light just in time to see a swimmer approaching our boat and untying our dinghy.

He kept the bright light on the swimmer who was holding our dinghy by the rope. The thief then decided it was best to give up, so dived under a nearby catamaran and escaped diving and swimming away.

We got our dinghy back thanks to the great reaction of Didier on his yacht, NAIL.WEB. Thanks so very much, Didier!

Our advice….lock your dinghy all the time in Tahiti…thefts are around here.
