SECURED: Not Locked

DETAILS:

A Canadian flagged monohull anchored off of Playa Bibijagua on the north coast of Isla de la Juventud was boarded overnight while the owners slept.

When they awoke in the morning, their life sling, cockpit cushions, dock lines, sunglasses, and other miscellaneous cockpit paraphernalia had been taken by persons unknown.

No police report was made.

Local advice is to be extremely vigilant when anchoring near populated areas.
