Recall on Parachute Flares

Bahamas, Nassau, Harbor Club Marina: Night time burglary – May 2015

Report Content

We were staying on our Leopard 48 catamaran at the Harbor Club Marina, in early May 2015, in Nassau, Bahamas.

While we slept, a burglar boarded and entered the salon (the door was accidentally left unlocked). He stole cash only, ignoring all electronics, cameras, phones, etc.

There was a night security guard at the marina.

Water was found on the floor of the salon, the theory being – the burglar swam in silently, hence the water on the floor, taking cash only, and the evasion of security.

Supposedly, there had been other reports of similar incidents, and supposedly, the burglar(s) grease themselves down, to avoid capture in an altercation.

We reported the incident to the marina management.
