There are pontoons for tenders and sailing boats at the Turistkaia / Tourist Pier.
Turistkaia is Longyearbyens’ public accommodations for smaller explorer cruise ships, daily tour boats, leisure boats up to 24 meters and other passenger boats with scheduled daily arrival/departure times. The pier is 350 meters long and can be docked from both sides.
Leisure boats are to be docked on the inner side of the tourist pier. Leisure vessels pay quay fees and other services at the onsite GoMarina terminals or by using the GoMarina app. Payments should be made within 30 minutes of arrival and include garbage / common waste disposal in the shoreside bins. Vessels docking at the diesel filling area for refueling for less that 30 minutes are not required to pay. See the Port of Longyearbyen Google Map for more.
The tourist pier is an unsheltered dock which can be subject to weather and drifting ice. Docked vessels should have available crew to move the vessel at the request of Port Control. Visiting vessels provide contact information to Port Control via GoMarina.
There is electricity, water and diesel available on the pontoon.
