Description:
Being at the western end of the island this is the sunniest part of Madeira. This port, for some reason, does not appear to feature in many cruising guides. It has a marina for about 300 yachts and is situated about 14NM west of Funchal.
Be sure to call ahead and let the marina know if you intend to visit.

32º 42.98’N, 17º 10.3′ W (harbor entrance)

Docking

Shoreside facilities include 4 bar/restauraunts, a chandlery, a fishing tackle shop, a hotel, showers but no laundry. There is also a very good supermarket adjacent to the marina.
Note that the marina website list fuel as available, but it has been reported that no fuel is available!
