Explore: Alderney
General Info
Alderney is a favorite first stop when cruising to the Channel Islands from the U.K, being the most northerly of the Group.
It lies approximately 10 miles west of La Hague, in Normandy, France and 20 miles from Guernsey. It is separated from the Cap de la Hague by the notorious Alderney Race.
Just 1.5 miles wide by 3.5 miles long and is quiet and unspoilt. As well as wonderful nature, it has World War II bunkers, ancient burial grounds and iron age pottery, plus stunning beaches. If a slow, relaxed pace is what you are looking for, then Alderney is your island.
The main town is St. Anne.
Braye Harbour is Alderney’s main commercial harbour, port of entry and has a Customs office.

YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.
