A perfect Anchorage on the way to Brunei coming from Kuchin is the unfinished Marina area in Jerudong, about 20Nm before Muara.
Coordinates: 4.56.981 N. 114.48.765 E
There is a small Island inside the breaker. You can Anchor all around in about 4-5 mtr depth with perfect hold. Be careful at entrance. There are 4 massiv steel pillar in front of the entrance unlit at night and 4 more inside the breaker area. One near the E corner of the Island, some others located around the area.
You are allowed to anchor, but dont go on land as this is part of the Royal palace.
However, it is a perfect anchorage and supposed to be a Marina, but then stopped after the Ministry has spend all budget in one Year and the Minister in charge got fired (that was what I was told from Brunei insider).

Fuel is available in Jerry Cans at RBYC. Current price is around 40 US cent / ltr but limited to 100 ltr per boat per trip. The RBYC charge 35 B Dollar per trip for the car.
A ride in the city from RBYC dinghy dock is about 25 B Dollar.
Present construction of the three bridges in Brunei involves a lot of foreign flagged support boats etc, which all need diesel and which take petrol etc to the water-based construction sites.
They normally have all the fuel from that riverine filling station pre-booked. And because they are foreign flagged the filling station is charging the international price. It is still possible to get diesel from vehicle filling stations. Contact us for details.

INCREASE IN FUEL PRICES:
As of December 2015, the Shell fuel dock in Brunei (up the river from Muara) is charging foreign yachts and additional BND$1 / liter. This is a 500% increase in the price they were charging just a month before.
