General Info
This busy port lies approximately 200NM east of Algiers and lies on the western shore of the Gulf of the same name.
Position: 36°44′59″N, 05°05′ 57″E (harbor entrance)
Clearance
It is necessary to call the Port Authorities on VHF Channel 16 or 14 before entering the harbor. Instructions will be given where to berth and the Authorities will visit the yacht to deal with formalities. Ensure you fly the Algerian courtesy flag.

Docking
Yachts are likely to be berthed in an out of way corner of the port which is quite a walk from the port entrance.
For water and fuel, ask the port police.
The town has a good market.
