It has been a great start to 2024 for World Cruising Club with 50 boats circumnavigating with World ARC rallies and WCC personnel waiting to meet new bluewater sailors at Boot Dusseldorf in Germany.

World ARC

In the past week, World ARC 2023 boats departed Cape Town, South Africa for Namibia then onto Brazil via St Helena.  At the same time, the thirteenth edition of the rally started in Saint Lucia bound for Santa Marta, Colombia before a Panama Canal transit in February and out into the Pacific.

Webinar

Many cruisers take the first steps on their bluewater adventure by visiting a boat show or learning from the experts. Over 500 people joined WCC’s two-week webinar programme in English, German and Swedish – with the recordings being uploaded for those interested to watch again. For a more in-depth experience, join WCC in Guildford, UK for the Ocean Cruising Seminar on 23-24 March.

Survey

Cruising costs money, but how much? In association with Yachting World, WCC is researching the real costs of cruising, from fitting out to meals ashore and would like to talk to a variety of cruisers, from the careful budgeters to the big spenders.

Boot Dusseldorf 20-28 January
