Transatlantic: Sailing out and shipping home with Peters & May in record style
Everyone loves sailing over to the Caribbean and enjoying the place when they arrive but what happens when the season is coming to a close and you need to head home faster than your lovely sailboat or diary will allow?

Peters & May have the solution and have been partnered with the WCC for over 11 years, in this time they have helped hundreds of ARC participants plan the next stage of their yachts journey once the East to West Transatlantic crossing has been enjoyed.
It’s a popular solution for many people with 2017 seeing 6 Peters & May operated Sailings departing from the Caribbean, the latest one being a record number of 45 yachts with masts up on board. Last weekend she steamed up Southampton water to deliver 11 ARC yachts back to their owners.
We caught up with Ross Applebey multiple ARC participant and this year’s winner of the Round Antigua Race on his Oyster Lightwave 48
“We have sailed Scarlet Oyster back and forth across the Atlantic a total of 8 crossings, whilst sailing back is an option, after a busy sailing season in the Caribbean, it is much more relaxing to know we can trust Peters & May to ship her back; knowing she will get back safely and swiftly with no wear and tear. The loading process is explained clearly, and makes the process as stress-free as possible, usually accompanied by some good humor!
