The last 20 minutes is a Q&A session, with comments from cruisers who are already there.

What does it take to get your boat to the Caribbean, and once there, what to do with it?

This webinar will cover the proper offshore yacht, safety gear, communications, where to get crew, watch standing, costs and options for boat-keeping once you arrive in the Islands. Rallies that make the offshore passage each Fall will also be discussed:

  • The NARC, which departs Newport, stops in Bermuda and ends up in Sint Maarten;
  • The Salty Dawg Rally; and possibly
  • ARC Carib 1500 (if held this year) departing the Chesapeake and heading non-stop for the islands.

This presentation will be followed by discussion with invited guests and Q&A from participants.
