Anchoring close to Playa Francesca (Graciosa) is no longer permitted pending the installation of fixed mooring buoys. You can, with a permit, anchor outside of the 20m contour however, this puts you some 500-600m off the beach with little protection from the swell coming around the Island.
There is no defined time scale for the installation of fixed moorings.
The anchoring permit also designates a anchoring area off the south of the the small island of Alegranza known as El Veril. However, the permitted area all seems to be in greater than 30m so of little practical use.
