In Porto Marmoreo (Porto Piccolo). The shelter is fair, but some surge in NE winds. Call on VHF 74 or by phone on arrival as this is a shallow harbour and marina staff can provide guidance and mooring assistance by RIB. Berths stern/bows-to with laid lines. Pontoon is attached to the NW end of the canal that separates the old town from new Siracusa. Wifi, water, and electricity on pontoon. Showers/toilets are on the other side of the canal, a bit of a walk across the bridge. Laundry nearby. Security provided. English is spoken.

Lakkios is excellently located, just off the bridge between Syracuse & Ortigia. Walking to supermarkets, car rental etc is very easy & close by. We moored for a full month, and found it quiet at night, in spite of the proximity to the city. It made for a good night’s sleep. Its a small marina, well managed and with wonderful personal engagement from all of the management and staff. I have never experienced a more focussed and attentive team, in any of the larger marinas. They actively check the boats, and take very good care of them. Ivan, Christian, Giovanni and of course Argo the Lakkios dog, made us feel very welcome, and we will definitely return.
