He speaks English well and is willing to ship medications anywhere in FP. He understands cruisers’ needs to order large volumes and is very helpful in finding alternatives. If he can’t provide a specific solution, he will say so.

We would like to strongly recommend Pharmacist Patrick (Moana) Ly of Pharmacie Papenoo, ([email protected] +689 40 54 74 47) who has been a wonderful help to cruisers, in FP. Patrick is fluent in English and French, and super-helpful. He can advise on French generic medications to cover most needs (the cost is usually about 60% less than equivalent meds in the USA, for example). He was willing to pack up a box of prescription medications, and arrange their shipping from Tahiti to the Tuamotu’s, paid by credit card when we were stuck there, for repairs to “Irony”and Covid.
His new, modern and very well stocked pharmacy is on the northeast coast of Tahiti, a few KM beyond Point Venus, and he can recommend a local General practitioner, in the adjacent building, to help with writing Prescriptions. Best of all, Patrick is a friend of cruisers, and super knowledgeable about Polynesian affairs, and he gave us a huge box of fruit, from his garden! There are beautiful waterfalls nearby , in the Vallee de Papenoo…well worth a visit.
