Business Info
Flamenco Marina is a relatively recent development and lies alongside the Pacific approaches to the Canal. The marina is situated on the south side between the two islands of Perico and Flamenco, which are attached to the mainland by a thin causeway. Ashore on the mainland are the districts of Balboa and Amador and, slightly further afield, the country’s capital, Panama City. Flamenco Marina is well situated for exploring Panama City and beyond.
There is a cruisers’ net on VHF Ch 74 every morning at 0800, operated from the anchorage near Flamenco Marina.
Although mostly occupied by local boats, there is some pier space available for visitors at this full-service marina. No advance bookings possible. This marina suffers from surge and is expensive. Make sure you get a slip that is not on the outermost dock closest to the breakwater. Water, fuel (diesel and gasoline advance reservations required a call ahead on Ch.10), WiFi. The marina office is situated near the fuel Pontoon.
Berthing is alongside one of 165 floating pontoons. Low docks so set fenders low. Rafting-up is likely.
The marina has an associated shipyard run by Quality Yachts Panama with a 150-ton travel lift (see boatyard section).
Use of the marina’s docks for dinghy landing by those anchored at the Las Brisas anchorage is limited; check in advance for costs and availability.
Diesel, Gasoline, and water. They do sometimes charge to moor up at the fuel dock.
