Ruins Cove was to be the site of a marina development that was never completed. The cove was dredged to a depth of approximately 10 feet at mean low water. There is a shallow sandbar near the southern part of the bay. The cove has good protection from nearly any wind direction. The only downside is that holding is poor due to the bottom being disturbed by dredging. It is necessary to slowly back down on your anchor to ensure a good set.
Crab Cay is private and uninhabited. Technically, you are not supposed to go ashore here. There are no services in the immediate area but Georgetown is not too far away by dinghy. Altogether, a quiet respite from the more crowded areas of Elizabeth Harbor.
Thank you Tom! You are one of the first users to post an anchorage on our new map and it’s really appreciated. Do keep them coming. We hope you found it easy and straightforward to do.
