Pulau Engganno

If you’re looking to break the journey from Sumatra to Bali, this is worth a stop.  This is a remote island and seldom visited by cruisers, but you’ll find very friendly locals and a couple of small shops if you are in need of any chocolate biscuits.  Everything comes in by ferry from Sumatra so supplies are limited the water.   The anchorage is open to all weather directions so keep a good eye on conditions.  The water is crystal clear and the adventurous surfers will be happy!

This anchorage providing good holding in sandy spot between the reef, opposite the little island of Pulau Dua.  Depths around 6 – 10 metres and the water is really clear so you can see the bottom.
