Very protected anchorage. On the inside channel between the two islands is especially protected but can become busy on weekends and holidays. The sides tend to be weedy but soft mud lies underneath and towards the middle of the channel. Depth is between 3 and 4 meters in the channel.
On the outside where we normally anchor, the holding is very good with soft mud. Depth around 3 meters. You can normally find a spot on the north, east or southeast to shelter from the wind.
Schokkerstrand Marina is a very short dinghy ride away. There is a restaurant, WiFi, showers, laundry and pump out facilities. A small supermarket is approximately 3 km away in Nagele. On the other side of the Ketelmeer is Ketelhaven.
The historic city of Kampen is also close by. Additional facilities and shopping available.
