Quinta do Lorde : Profile

Location

Quinta do Lorde Marina is part of the Quinta do Lorde Resort. Its location is on the South East of Madeira, 7km from the International Airport and 32km from the capital Funchal. There is good access to the rest of the island by road.

It is reported that funds are now in place to complete the Resort here and it plans to open Spring 2012.

Clearance

Clearance can be done through the marina office.

Docking

When approaching the marina contact the staff on VHF 16/9, to assist you with manoeuvres, with a Zodiac. The Marina office is located in front of pontoon E. Staff are reported to be very helpful here.

The marina provides good shelter for boats, but it can suffer from significant surge. It also offers winter storage. There are gates on every pontoon, however cruisers report that crew have a tendancy to leave these open.

Opening Hours: Marina services available daily from 09h to 18h, Monday to Sunday.
All facilities, including a cafe & bar, fuel & gas refill, pump-out, Wi-Fi (free), laundry, shopping with marina shuttle, car rental.
Clearance facilities and permits for outlying islands at the marina office.
Repairs can be arranged with Repmaritima Boatyard at Machico or the Canical Naval Yard. At the marina, repair facilities include sail & rigging, electronic & engine, refrigerating systems, and other specialised repairs on request.
