Location

Ventspils is an important port in northwestern Latvia, at the mouth of the Venta River.

Docking

There is a secure yacht harbour here. Berthing is Med-style.

The port facilities and the offshore part of the port are situated in the area of the Venta estuary. There are 2 jetties (the Northern and the Southern ones). The length of the entrance channel is ca 5.5 km, the depth is, at present, slightly over 17 m. The port becomes shallower all the time

Situated between the old city and the Open Air Museum. Water, electricity, toilets, showers, sauna, laundering, medical aid, telephone, car rental, charts, meteo information, postal services, repairs, diving services, fuel. Waste and oil disposal, pump-out facilities. Tourist information. Yacht Club with bar and restaurant. Min. depth 3-3.5m.
