South Island sailor Viki Moore purchased Island Cruising NZ in June 2021. Viki has been President of the Little Ship Club of Canterbury since 2014, started the Facebook group Women Who Sail New Zealand and is a Director of Yachting New Zealand. Viki is also the Regional Rear Commodore – South Pacific & New Zealand for the Ocean Cruising Club.

Island Cruising has been around since the 1980’s. Over the years Island Cruising has helped to facilitate hundreds of New Zealanders on offshore voyages and has successfully attracted numerous international cruisers to come to New Zealand.

Island Cruising NZ provide yacht cruising rallies around the islands of the South Pacific. These rallies are designed to allow sailors to cruise the islands aboard their own boats, or assist as crew on someone else’s boat. They provide assistance with customs, immigration and biosecurity in and out of each country, arrange social events at various points along the way and arrange clearances into places such the Lau group of Fiji and the Loyalty Islands of New Caledonia. They also hold educational seminars to help sailors understand how to prepare their vessels for sailing offshore and get the most out of cruising in the Islands.

International vessels are very welcome at the rallies. An approximate schedule of rallies is as follows:

• April: Pacific Rally
  Choose to depart from Australia or New Zealand or join us in the Pacific and explore Minerva Reef, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu & New Caledonia. Return to New Zealand or continue on to Australia. Our rallies are packed with fun events & content to help you prepare you, your vessel and your crew for some amazing adventures combined with some amazing deals and advice from our rally partners.
• September:  Sail South to New Zealand Rally
  Cruise the South Pacific and on to New Zealand this season. The Sail South to New Zealand package has everything you need to ensure a smooth voyage including assistance with all the paperwork, visas, biosecurity, weather, and great discounts and events on arrival.
• September: Go West to Australia
  Cruise the South Pacific and on to Australia. The Go West to Australia package has everything you need to ensure a smooth voyage including assistance with all the paperwork, visas, biosecurity, weather, and great discounts on arrival.
• December/January: South Island Rally
  From the North Island to Abel Tasman, Marlborough, Fiordland, Stewart Island, Dunedin, Akaroa & Lyttelton.
