Care should be taken on approach. Find green bar beacon 02 02.6 deg N 102 30.7 E, steer 045T to the green buoy, then 104T to marina entrance behind breakwater on the south side. Very shallow – we found 1.5m on our approach – best on the flood tide.

We anchored further up on North side opposite ferry terminal – good holding in heavy squalls. Marina is still incomplete, but Jabulan Laut will offer a scale of charges. Pontoons are largely complete but some breakages evident. No services. Mooring buoys available, but longish walk to town.

Jabulan Laut at the ferry terminal on Southside below the bridge. Friendly reception with little paperwork compared to Indonesia and Singapore. Large “Giant” supermarket on North side of the bridge but no easy dinghy landing.
