Grenada - Prickly Bay Port of Entry Once Again

Countries: Grenada

Following restrictions put in place in May 2009 to prevent individuals with symptoms of Influenza H1 N1 (swine flu) from entering Grenada and passing on the disease (see report here), it is once again possible to clear into Grenada at Prickly Bay.

With effect from Tuesday 3rd November, a Medical Officer will be stationed at Prickly Bay Marina Customs & Immigration Office, so yachts can clear in to Grenada at Prickly Bay.

The Ministry of Health and the Chief Medical Officer worked closely with The Marine & Yachting Association of Grenada to enable the clearing in facilities at Prickly Bay to be restored, whilst ensuring Swine Flu precautions remain in place.

Yachts can still clear in at Hillsborough in Carriacou and at The Grenada Yacht Club in St George's.
