Westport : Profile
Situated on the west coast of Ireland, Westport is a charming, planned town, built in the Georgian style and has an attractive walk alongside the river Carrow Beg. It is a major tourist destination because of its magnificent scenery.
Its small port, Westport Quays, although once busy, is no longer used commercially. Westport Bay provides many sheltered anchorages whatever the weather but beware of the fish farms and shellfish beds.
