Galway : Profile
Galway Customs Office Tel:+353 91 567191
Although sheltered from the Atlantic swell by the Aran Islands, this bay is large enough to allow the seas to build up in strong winds. The city of Galway, one of Ireland’s largest, lies on the northern shore and its harbour is well protected by its small off-lying islands. There are many anchorages around the bay, but beware of the salmon drift nets.
