  Dun Laoghaire : Profile

Docking

An attractive, and useful small port with a marina, situated on the southern shore of Dublin Bay. It is the main yachting port for Dublin and is about 10km from the centre of the city.

Dublin is a busy port for large commercial ships and small craft should keep a sharp lookout, and are advised to use the southern entrance channel into the Bay and then to keep to the southern side of the Bay itself. Monitor VHF channel 12 for shipping movements.

820 berths with all facilities, laundry, pumpout, fuel (both diesel and petrol) and LPG. Close to the ferry port to Holyhead and to various yacht clubs. Access gate to pontoons now uses finger print scanner (recorded when check-in at marina office).
The adjacent boatyard has a 50 ton hoist and a large range of repair and maintenance facilities.

There are 4 Yacht Clubs within the harbour all of whom welcome the visiting Yachtsmen.

Berths with diesel, water, power and overnight facilities are available to cruising yachtsmen with shopping facilities being a short walk away. The club is active throughout the year with full dining and bar facilities and winter activities include bridge, snooker, quiz nights, wine tasting and special events.

The Club welcomes visiting yachts to Dun Laoghaire and has fuel, power and water supply. Visitors are advised to contact the Club Secretary in advance on + 353 1 2801811 or at short notice, they may call the boathouse which keeps watch on VHF Ch. 37.
