Alanya - General Info
Description:
Alanya is a seaside resort located on the eastern side of the Gulf of Antalya. It is 120 kms (74.5 miles) from the city of Antalya. It is attractive all year, with a castle and many historical sites in the vicinity.
The old village has almost remained untouched by the later development now surrounding it.
Entrance Notes and Cautions:
Alanya Yat Limani (Alanya Marina) lies to the west of the city, not in the downtown core and facilitates cruising eastwards to Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon & Israel.

Located on Türkiye’s central Mediterranean coast (also known as the Turkish Riviera) with beaches including Cleopatra Beach, where the Egyptian queen reputedly swam, Alanya Castle, a giant Seljuk-era fort turned open-air museum, on a rocky bluff above the beachfront and the octagonal Red Tower, a symbol of the city dating to 1226.

You may remember that Alanya Marina used to have a swell problem inside of the marina when there is a south westerly storm. Now the protective breakwater is nearly completed to stop the swell and it is working well.
Is it possible to make an announcement for your readers as some may wish to have less expensive and safe Marina on the southern coast of Turkey.
