Description:

Sığacık, originally a fishing village but now a small seaside resort in Izmir Province, is located on a small peninsula, facing north. The harbor is in the east side of the peninsula and the beaches to the west.

Tucked into a small bay on the eastern side of Sığacık Korfezi, this is an interesting sheltered harbor with a small walled village.

The large Teos Marina which opened in 2010 occupies the harbour and offers excellent facilities, including a 75 ton travelift, hard standing and repair services. There are several special offers for transient cruisers.

Sığacık is next to the ancient Ionian city of Teos and there is an Ottoman castle (now in ruins) built in 1522 also in Sığacık.

Izmir airport is just 50km away and there are many tourist sites nearby including Ephesus and thermal springs.
