Palamos - General Info
Description:
Palamos is an important fishing port located in the middle of the Costa Brava, 117km from Barcelona and 104km from the French border. It has a hospital, cinemas, theatre and dynamic cultural activities. The town itself is an old Catalonian city, of particular interest, is the wonderful fishing museum.

Stayed at Marina Palamos for 3 nights waiting out adverse winds. At 105E/night for a 13m sailboat, this marina is almost twice the price of Port Vell – a great marina – in Barcelona. The facilities are basic and the office staff officious and unpleasant.
It is also the only marina we have been in Spain – and we have gone completely around the coasts of Spain – where they held our documents as security – not a comfortable feeling. If you have any other choices I would strongly recommend avoiding Marina Palamos
