The necessary forms can be downloaded from www.antarctica.gov.au
A permit to visit Macquarie Island can be obtained from: Tasmanian Dept. of Parks, Wildlife & Heritage, PO Box 861J, Hobart 7001, Tasmania, Australia. Email ParksEnquiries@dpiwe.tas.gov.au.
A landing fee is charged per person.
