Turkey: New Marina at Kas

Published 13 years ago, updated 5 years ago

Kas Marina aims to be an excellent summer and winter base for yachts. It is a well-equipped marina will all modern facilities in the center of ancient Kas town. Kas is a main port of entry for yachts from Kastellorizo / Megisti, Cyprus and Egypt and the new marina will house all port authority offices (harbor master, customs, passport police, and healthy control).

With a 472 berthing capacity for yachts of all sizes, Kaş Marina has a dry storage capacity for 160 boats, a 100-ton travel lift, and 40-ton boat mover. The marina has seven floating pontoons and a breakwater plus an easy to use fuel dock. A weekly farmers market outside the marina gates adds to the attraction of this marina.

Today one of the most appealing features of Kas is its proximity to the Greek Island of Kastellorizo / Megisti. Only a few miles away you can sail across and enjoy a beautiful day experiencing the Island. Kaş Marina is only 150 km. from Dalaman Airport and 185 km from Antalya Airport.

Although not all the works are complete, the marina is currently welcoming visiting yachts and until it officially opens is giving visitors free berthing. The official opening date is said to be “soon”. The marina hosted the Eastern Mediterranean Yacht Rally earlier this month.

Electricity is charged at 0,35 Eu/KW and water at 3 Eu/m3. Wi-Fi is still being installed and the chandlery, shopping, and food outlets are not yet open (85% complete).

Special deals are available for the first year of business. Find out more at the Kas Marina Website.
