SIOBMPA operate moorings at Sandy Island. The Park Ranger will come to collect the fee of $25EC per night.

SIOBMPA was established in 2010 and covers an area of ​​659 hectares. The MPA has 5 beautiful and often secluded beaches (not included Sandy Island), 2 unique mangrove sites; one you can tour by boat (Oyster Bed) and the other (Lauriston Mangroves) a 20-minute walk from Paradise Beach to Behind Sands Beach. There are also 3 uninhabited islands within SIOBMPA: Sister Rocks, Mabouya and Sandy Island. The shallow waters of SIOBMPA offer gorgeous swim/snorkeling zones and its not unusual to see turtles, numerous fishes, and other marine organisms daily.
