Recognised as the home of Ferro-cement boat construction in Ireland, our members have built some 30+ “concrete” boats since one of our members took the plunge around 1971 and built (with the help of his wife) a 40ft. motorsailer. Many more followed in rapid succession and some have even been own designs. Frequent visitors from around the world call in to see the methods used.
