The eSeaClear system is temporarily suspended, therefore cruisers visiting the Caribbean must proceed for now with Customs clearance as it was prior to the relatively new eSeaClear system being implemented (more paperwork, more waiting time..).

eSeaClear have the following statement on their website homepage:

It’s that time of year again in the Caribbean when our thoughts turn to maintenance of vessels, and maybe even making a few improvements so that next season will be better still. At eSeaClear, we are taking the opportunity of the low-season to do just that, albeit on our web services rather than a 50’ yacht!

Over the past couple of years eSeaClear has benefited from a lot of user-feedback, both positive and negative. An overwhelming concern of users is that eSeaClear should be available for not just Customs clearance, but to also include the other border agencies involved.

If you wish to sign-up for the expanded eSeaClear service you will need to complete the basic information form again, under a new privacy policy and user agreement with eSeaClear.

BUT, please note there is a change in the way your voyage information is collected, maintained and distributed.

Ø In your use of eSeaclear, CCLEC collected, maintained and sent your data to Customs. That data is held and used by Customs under CCLEC’s privacy policy.

Ø eSeaClear intends to collect, maintain and send your information that you provide through eSeaClear to varous governmental border agencies, such as Immigration, Customs and Port Authorities.

Watch out for the new website…it’s coming soon.

If you would like an alert when it is ready, please email us.

With your help, together we will make eSeaClear stronger and allow you more time ashore to enjoy yourselves.
