Chris Doyle: Good Week in Tobago

I was very sorry to hear of the recent incidents in Tobago. I have just been here for a week based in Store Bay, updating for next edition of Cruising Guide to Trinidad and Tobago.

I had a wonderful time, everyone was very pleasant. The customs want to know at which port you will be all the time. There are two ports of clearance, Scarborough and Charlotteville, so you can get a clearance from one to the other with all the stops along the way.

There are quite a few cruisers here and there has been no problem since the incidents mentioned. Let us hope it will continue that way. I would still rate Tobago as generally safe. Everywhere gets a problem or two from time to time.

Having John and Kate in Store Bay Marine Services who can get nearly anything done, is a great addition to Tobago.
