Questions about Aluminium Boats

I'm getting my boat ready for a long cruise.

It’s an ex BOC 50' Alloy mast head cutter and I would like to install a sonar unit after reading Cornell's book (Passion for the Sea). The problem is that my boat is aluminium and skin fittings are bronze. I would like to know which brand and model of unit Jimmy is using in his boat and how he over came the problem.

My forward looking sonar is made by Echopilot and they made a special bronze fitting for my transducer. Contact them and tell them you want the same as mine.

POSTED ON BEHALF OF YANNICK LOQUET: I wanted to give information about Jotun antifouling for aluminium boats. I had a bad personal experience:
They stopped producing Seal Alu or Alusea for aluminium a few years ago and technical services proposed, after improvement, Sea quantum antifouling. They explained there is no problem even if there is copper in it (big mistake).
I tried: wrong way! If you don't have a very good epoxy insulation between the hull and antifouling paint, you will have slowly electrolysis, very bad with time! I tested it and I"ll forget it after urgently put it out all this dangerous antifouling after 3 months use!
