Received from Puerto Galera Yacht Club, the Cruising Yacht Club of the Philippines.

A Typhoon, 07W FENGSHEN, is currently located approximately 200 miles East of Tacloban City, Leyte, and is forecast to move generally northwest towards the Visayas before turning North. This weather system is expected to intensify further before leaving Philippine waters within the next 48 hours. We advise you to take all precautions now to secure vessels and property.

It is highly recommended that you keep track of this weather system during the next 24 hours to see if it continues on its forecast track.

The PGYC Website has a Weather section where you will find a number of links to storm tracking stations and satellite images.

Note: The PGYC moorings are within Puerto Galera's natural typhoon shelter and are regularly maintained in order to provide the highest levels of security for your yacht. Visitor moorings are available for cruising yachts who need a safe haven and access to cold beer and great food. The PGYC Website has a modified chart A3559, showing the recommended route to the PGYC moorings.
