Description:
St. John is well known for its well-preserved natural beauty and attractive beaches, thanks in the main to 60% of the Island is protected by the Virgin Islands National Park.
The anchorages of St. John’s north coast are sheltered and have beautiful white sandy beaches which are easily reached by dinghy. The south shore of St. John also offers a number of anchorages to explore, snorkel and swim to the beach but may be less protected depending on conditions.

Many of the beaches are fringed by coral reefs making them popular with snorkelers. There are also numerous hiking trails on shore
A taxi can be hailed along the road which runs behind most of these beaches, giving access to the main town of Cruz Bay.
