Our 24 months in the EU expired in 2014 thereby facing us with the possibility of having to pay the VAT tax. Polaris was stored on the hard in Ragusa, Sicily, westbound halfway thru the Med. Our options were limited to going to Tunisia or making a run for Morocco. Going to Morocco would have cut short our cruising in the western Med, so we considered the possibility of going to Tunisia.
