Wick lies on the east coast of northern Scotland, some 15 miles south of Duncansby Head (John O Groats). Since the discovery of North Sea Oil. Wick has been used as a base for offshore supply vessels. The traffic this generates has allowed the development of Wick Airport, just north of the town.
The harbour, the home of a 30 strong fishing fleet, remains both active and interesting and provides good shelter, although more exposed in strong E’lies. Visitors berth in the inner harbour.
