The Firth of Forth provides a good stretch of sailing water, especially for racing.
Granton harbour partly dries and is, at present (2007) being redeveloped. Port Edgar is a full service marina. The other harbours in the Forth suitable for yachts, are at Grangemouth and Edinburgh. The rest are purely commercial.
Crail Harbour Tel:+44 (0)1333 450 820 (HM), VHF Channel 16 56deg 15'.35N,02deg 37'.29W. Lying on the northern shore, this small harbour is a gem. Largely drying, so need to be able take the ground alongside. Call before entering. Electricity and water. Provisions, post office, bank, bars and restaurants in the town.

Grangemouth Harbour Tel:+44 (0)1324 498 566, VHF Channel 14, 16 Mainly a commercial port.
Granton Harbour (S shore of Firth of Forth) Tel:+44 (0)131 555 8866 (Leith), VHF Channel 37 'Boswell' Mainly drying, but extensive redevelopement planned. Access HW +/-3.5hrs. All the moorings in Granton harbour belong to either the Forth Corinthian Yacht Club or the Royal Forth Yacht Club. The Edinburgh Marina Company, which is jointly owned by both clubs, manages pontoon berths on the East side of the Middle Pier. Visiting yachtsmen are welcome. Water is available on the pontoon, fuel is available from the Royal Forth Yacht Club.
