The approaches are much easier than for Livingston, 9 miles away. Entry as well as exit formalities are dealt with quickly, as all offices are within a short walking distance. One should visit the port captain first, who will arrange for the other officials to visit the yacht.

The marina is located half a mile north from Puerto Barrios in a Resort complex at 15°44'46''N, 88°34'58''W. 27 slips with plans for 185 in total, 24 hour security, dry storage for boats up to 30 feet, fuel station, assistance with Customs and Immigration, weather information, access to internet, e-mail and fax.
