Docking

Patras is one of the largest cities in Greece and its harbour is a lively, noisy place. It is situated in the northwest Peloponnesus on the Gulf of Patras, an inlet of the Ionian Sea. This gulf connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Ionian Sea.

Moor stern-to or alongside on the northern side of the central mole (opposite the castle). Shelter is good but the wash from the constant movement of tugs and other workboats does cause a lot of surge. The holding is good.

North of the harbour, the old caique basin has been converted into a yacht harbour. Inside, moor at the outer end of the quays unless your draft is very, very shallow. The visitors' pontoon is also subject to some swell. The minimum stay is 2 nights. Water and shower facilities are included in the charge.
