Esmeraldas : Profile
Although Esmeraldas is not considered a safe harbour (for security reasons), yachts can anchor in the fishing boat section of the artificial harbour, opposite the port captain's office. It is more convenient to come to the Navy dock if there is space.
An alternative option is at the Stella Maris Yacht Club, in a new marina south of Esmeraldas. This is part of a new resort developement.
