Pukapuka : Profile
Because of its isolated location, a warm welcome awaits any visiting yacht.
There are three villages, as well as a hospital.
The island was severvely damaged by a cyclone in 2005, but these islanders are tough, and have rebuilt their community.
Yachts wanting to clear at Pukapuka must pay for transporting the customs officer by air or sea. Not a very practical option.
