Belem : Profile
This is the best port to enter Amazonia, but a detailed chart is essential for the Para River, which leads the 80 miles inland to Belem. Visiting boats can anchor near the Belem Yacht Club. This is now reported as closed and therefore unable to help with formalities, but it is possible to leave a dinghy there. All services and supplies are available in the town.
